I recently completed the construction and development of the new Comux site.

Comux have notified Ofcom of their interest in bidding for the UK local TV MuxCo multiplex operator licence.

For this project I was working with Public Life and to Lara Bradley‘s comprehensive design brief, which included a great collection of graphics.

The WordPress site uses a custom built HTML5 theme, which includes the use of custom post types for generating the common questions page and custom fields for populating the different elements on the home page.

It was fantastic working with the friendly bunch at Public Life on this project.

And good luck to Comux with their Ofcom bid!

I’ve just launched the BECTU May 2011 London Production Division social networking evening site.

I put together this simple one page site in less than a day – made possible by the flexibility and efficiency of WordPress.

This weekend the new Orange Coconut blog was launched.

I built the multi-author blog, using WordPress, to allow company team members to report on projects in which they are involved.

When blog posts are published, a link to the post is automatically sent to the Orange Coconut Twitter account.

Yesterday a new area was launched on the Orange Coconut site: videotape recycling.

I’ve designed and developed this area to support Orange Coconut’s established low carbon broadcast videotape recycling service.

The current area will be expanded over the coming days and months with additonal pages to provide more details and facilties.

On 29 April 2010 I attended the launch party for Orange Coconut, a new television post production company, founded by Nick Carroll and Gary Hewson.

For the evening The Bull was frequented by an assorted group of BBC-types and other broadcasting luminaries to celebrate Orange Coconut opening for business.

To support the company I’ve built a new site on a WordPress platform.

The basis of the site is to let the pictures do the talking – hence the liberal use of YouTube embedding!

37signals have posted an update on their four day week experiment.

I’m still working my way through the copious comments to the post!

It’s not for nothing that the net is characterised as a time sink, because wherever it carves out efficiencies, it usually manages to create extra work, too.

Good point.

In particular the four day week:

We found that just about the same amount of work gets done in four days vs. five days.

Historically it was assumed that advances in technology would lead to everyone working less. It now seems the opposite has happened.

How did that happen?
